The IBM, Red Hat and AWS collaboration underscores an emerging trend within the tech industry.  As the demand for cloud solutions continues to grow, collaboration between major tech players is likely to become commonplace. In addition, and as highlighted in the Canalys study, software-as-a-service (SaaS) market is forecasted to reach $45 billion by 2025 and marketplaces are the “fastest-growing route to market” for SaaS products.

 

In support of this opportunity and the general need for efficient partner collaboration, TD SYNNEX is launching the P2P Network Program in support of helping partners collaborate and deliver great results for customers that are implementing cross-vendor solutions. Initially, we are sponsoring our top AWS, IBM, and Red Hat partners.

Given TD SYNNEX’s priority on enabling our IBM watsonx Gold 100 partners, we are also including a FREE P2P membership for all participating partners. Partners should build out their company profile on the P2P Global platform – continue to add your watsonx skills over time to make profiles complete and robust (example: noting certifications, badges, industry expertise, etc.).

 

P2P Global offers a unique platform that helps facilitate partner-to-partner (P2P) engagements. Members can create opportunities for a range of collaboration needs, and P2P Global will automatically match the best skilled firms to respond - allowing the opportunity creator to select from a pool of top skilled candidates for potential client engagements.

IS THERE A COST TO PARTICIPATING IN THE TD SYNNEX PROGRAM?

  • No, there is no cost to the sponsored partners that are invited to join by TD SYNNEX.
  • As a sponsored partner, TD SYNNEX is funding P2P membership fees. 



IF MY FIRM WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE BY TD SYNNEX, HOW DO I BECOME A P2P MEMBER
  1. Click on “Become a Member
  2. Complete the Sign-Up form & create your credentials (Name, Email, Company, and Password)
    • As a TD SYNNEX sponsored partner, be sure to include Coupon Code (TDSP2P)
  3. P2P will approve your membership association with your firm and send you a welcome email
  4. After receiving the welcome email from P2P, simply log in using your credentials (email & password)
  5. Once logged in, you will be directed to your company dashboard
    • To complete the company registration process, update & validate your company profile
    • At any time, company profiles can be further updated with your company skills & capabilities
  6. Start creating and being matched to opportunities
  7. Be sure to invite other colleagues from your company to join too!

WHY DO I NEED TO UPDATE / VALIDATE OUR COMPANY PROFILE?
  • It is easy to update your company profile at any time.
  • Each partner firm’s profile includes basic company information, vendor relationships, certifications, marketplace solution skills, ISV competencies, industry expertise, and more.
  • The company profile attributes can be used when creating opportunities – defining specific needed skills.
  • In the end, the company profiles allow for effective matching of partners to opportunities.

WHO CAN VIEW MY FIRM'S COMPANY PROFILE?

  • The only time other P2P members can see your firm’s profile is when you respond to one of their opportunities. This is one of the examples of the level of confidentiality and security that is important to our members.
  • There is however, a basic company search function that allows you to see if another firm is a P2P member and, if so, allows you to Favorite or Endorse another member firm. This search will display the company name, URL, and description of another firm (but not the details of the firm’s profile.)
  • As part of the TD SYNNEX program, they are sponsoring your P2P membership (no cost to your firm.) If you agree to participate in this program as a sponsored partner, TD SYNNEX will have access to view your company profile.


HOW MANY MEMBERS CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE TD SYNNEX PROGRAM?
  • P2P subscriptions are held at a channel partner (company) level based.
  • For TD SYNNEX sponsored partners, there is no cost to join P2P and each sponsored partner may have an unlimited number of employees joining P2P Global.

WHAT TYPE OF OPPORTUNITIES CAN BE POSTED BY PARTNERS?

  • The types of opportunities can range in collaboration needs from fully qualified opportunities and pre-qualified opportunities to business development needs.
  • The opportunities can be specific to vendor offerings and associated certification requirements or general staff augmentation based on a project need.
  • Opportunities criteria can include the need for specific AWS Marketplace solution skills.

HOW DOES A MEMBER CREATE AND POST AN OPPORTUNITY?

  • From your company dashboard, simply hit the “Post an Opportunity” button at the top of the page.
  • Key sections include: Scope of Work, Skills and References, Screening Questions, Non-binding Budget, Timeline, and Favorites.
  • Attaching a file that further describes to project, environment, or other information is very helpful to potential opportunity responders.
  • Members can then review and publish the opportunity, or save it as a draft and download a .pdf to socialize further within their company before publishing.
  • Once published, Opportunity Creators can update their opportunity with additional comments and/or file attachments that help communicate important information to Opportunity Responders.

 HOW DOES A MEMBER RESPOND TO AN OPPORTUNITY?

  • First, if you are matched to an opportunity based on your skills, you will receive an email asking you to respond and if you don’t respond, you will receive a reminder email.
  • It is easy to respond – simply log in and from your dashboard go to open opportunities.
  • After you review the opportunity, you may reject the opportunity, ask clarifying questions, or simply respond.
  • When responding, you must answer the screening questions, optionally add attachments, used canned responses and or customize your response.
  • Once you submit your response, the opportunity creator will automatically be notified.
  • You will be notified if you are selected for the engagement, not selected, or if the opportunity was closed.
